Artists of Shambellie House Exhibition: Flock

Join us for our first Artists of Shambellie House Exhibition featuring work from a selection of our ‘Artists of Shambellie House’. The theme of the exhibition is ‘Flock’ and will show a selection of work featuring the following artists:

Ailsa Mackay – freelance artist, textile designer and tutor whose work is mainly created using acrylic, gouache and soft pastels working in a big and bold style.

Andy Brooke – community artist and tutor who produces work which combines his interest in stained glass and photo-screen printing.

Arona Allan – local artist and member of the New Abbey Community Art Group.

Frank Hayes – trustee at Shambellie House an award winning artist and Creative Director and Founder of “For Enjoyment CIC”.

Julie Stephen – freelance illustrator, fine art printmaker and art tutor and owner of her own visual art business, The Artful Corner. Julie also creates ethereal hand pulled gel prints, layering colours, shapes and textures inspired by forest walks, trips to the shore and sunlight through trees.

Helen Walsh – local artist and creative practitioner specialising in drawing and textiles, in particular embroidery.

Joanna Shennan – mixed media artist inspired by all aspects of natural form. She focuses on printing with natural materials, stencilling and stitching on both textiles and paper, resulting in 2D abstract compositions and artists books.

Each of the artists will be offering demonstrations of their up and coming workshops as well as offering some work for sale.

Work produced by our community art group will also be on display in the house.
