Callum Beattie + Connor Fyfe LIVE at Wigtown Library

Callum Beattie and special guest Connor Fyfe take to the Loud in Libraries stage for two spectacular matinee performances this May.

Callum has been hard at music for almost half his life, making his own chances, taking chances and, for sure, being a chancer. Described by the Evening Standard as “one of Scotland’s more sizzling musical talents”, the Edinburgh-born singer-songwriter has progressed from pub gigs, to where he is now: a singer-songwriter with a punchy, rousing, emotive and gloriously catchy debut album that scored a No.1 in The Official Scottish Albums Chart. After residing in London and Berlin for a few years, Callum has decided to move back to Scotland. His new material is a collection of songs clawed from the raw stuff of existence, nostalgic patriotism and bleeding love.

Get it Loud in Libraries brings a vibrant programme of live music to local libraries, funded by Creative Scotland, Arts Council England, Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Youth Music to engage and inspire new audiences.

Live music in local libraries gives audiences of all ages the rare chance to get up close and personal with their favourite acts. Get It Loud in Libraries has previously hosted a number of acclaimed musical acts including Adele, Idles, Wolf Alice and Jorja Smith. Audiences give resoundingly positive feedback to this literary-meets-musical event environment, praising the ‘tremendous surroundings’ and the high calibre of acts.

Tickets for the Callum Beattie & Special Guest Connor Fyfe gig at Wigtown Library on the 8th May 2022 are now available. For all upcoming Get it Loud in Libraries gigs see their website getitloudinlibraries.com/gigs/.
