Free circus sessions for staff and volunteers (16+) working in Castle Douglas and the surrounding area to learn and share circus skills.
About this event
As part of the What We Do Now WWDN) project, Martin and Kiera are running free circus sessions for adults (staff and volunteers) to teach and share circus skills, and to give pointers how best to use circus skills in a youth and community context.
The first session will concentrate on teaching skills; the second two will split focus between teaching new skills, and sharing approaches and techniques to passing skills on to participants.
The sessions are open to everyone (16+) working or volunteering in the Castle Douglas area. All are welcome whether you are a pro or a complete beginner, whether you have already engaged with WWDN or not.
Martin Danziger is a highly experienced practitioner in physical theatre and circus arts and Kiera Manson is a recently graduated actor and workshop leader from Newton Stewart.
‘What We Do Now’ is the Dumfries and Galloway project within the national programme called Culture Collective, coordinated by Creative Scotland. The project is led by The Stove Network in partnership with local anchor organisation Castle Douglas Development Forum.
