A monthly community meeting space for cooking up positive actions on the environmental and ecological crisis
The Climate Kitchen is envisaged as a space where folk can gather to share food, talk about climate-related topics and inspire action on an individual and community level.
While acknowledging that climate change is a global crisis, it feels important to focus on how local challenges feed into this bigger picture and how we can make a tangible impact in our lives and community.
With this in mind, for our first Kitchen, we also have Sarah Thomas for D&G Climate Hub attending and we will show their new 15 minute film ‘Climate: Action!’. The film showcases climate initiatives in D&G. Followed by our Green Party representative, Laura Moodie an experienced community activist, who will speak about the specific challenges and opportunities in D&G in relation to climate change and biodiversity loss.
There will then be an open discussion with questions and comments invited.
The aim is for an informal space and to let the conversation evolve fairly organically.
We aim for you to come away from the Kitchen with a better idea of how and where you can make an impact locally
