Nith Life is a new, grassroots, community-led group that is exploring ways to ensure the River Nith is recognised as a significant part of the region’s sustainability plans for the future. The Stove Network and The Galloway & Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere are supporting Nith Life in its development. Nith Life and The Galloway & Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere in partnership with the University of Manchester are hosting a series of interactive workshops in locations along the River Nith including Thornhill, Sanquhar and Glencaple.
This display is an opportunity for everyone to contribute their thoughts on the river, to explore how we can shape the future of the river together. It includes creative, interactive games about the local and global perspectives of sustainability and climate change.
