A Dark Sky Tour in the middle of Galloway Forest Dark Sky Park with Matthew, Dark Sky Ranger.
The low light pollution means that we get to see the stars and planets the way they are meant to be seen. This is a fun event, starting with some facts and a visual experiment, to help set the scene. We then spend the rest of the evening exploring the night sky with the naked eye and through astro-binoculars. We will see Jupiter’s moons, the impressive sights of Orion, our own, Milky Way galaxy and keep watching for shooting stars. Mercury may be visible at the beginning of the tour. Wrap up warm and prepare to say “Wow!”
