The 41st Dumfries Half Marathon will start and finish at Dumfries and Galloway College on Sunday, September 25.
The route will take runners along Bankend Road and past the Dovecotewell animal welfare centre, with its fabulous views of Criffel and on to Glencaple. The runners will then climb back to the Bankend war memorial and return back to the college on the same route as the first part of the race with the bonus of a downhill finish with large crowds to cheer on the competitors.
Competitors of all standards are invited to test themselves in this well marshalled and accurately measured race.
The cost is £18 for Scottish Athletics members and £20 for those who are not and entries are invited from runners of all standards. Thanks to the College, the event will start and finish at the same location with showers, changing facilities and refreshments available on site.
