Join us for our newest community arts programme, Dumfries School of Samba which runs as monthly club over the next three months.
We tested this workshop out in December 2022, and we are now open up to members who wish to subscribe for the next three months of the project.
It is our intention to develop this as a longer term project if we get enough subscribers. Session price is £7.50 each and includes the use of drumming equipment which is taken as a standing order from your bank.
The sessions are ran by Jordan Fergusson an in-demand percussionist and educator who has been specialising in Brazilian Carnival music since 2009. His dedication to music and cultures from across the world have led him to working with artists and organisations and building strong links in community focussed groups. All the while having opportunities to perform at world renowned events such as São Paulo’s Street Carnival (Brazil), COP26 (Glasgow) and The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee pageant to name a few.
