Introduction to Pilates for beginners and those with some experience. Learn the ‘why’ and the ‘how’ of Pilates and develop your own ‘Pilates Flow’ to use on a daily basis.
The course is focussed on those who want to complement the practice of Pilates movements with a solid grounding in the basics of Pilates theory. We focus on the art and science of Human Movement – it’s not just the ‘how’ but also the ‘why’ you will learn:
the importance of breathing and posture
the principles, concepts and fundamental movements of Pilates including modifications to suit your needs
how to move slowly and safely from one exercise to another giving you a “Pilates Flow” that builds both strength and flexibility.
You will develop your own “Pilates Flow” – a practice that can be done on a daily basis to energise, strengthen and tone your body.
