Gentle Jazz is a group of Dumfries & Galloway performers with many concerts in the region under its belt.
The programmes feature the ‘greats’: the well-loved songs of Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Irving Berlin with the occasional novelty’ from the 1960s.
The lineup includes:
Guitarist John Fenner, one of Kenny Ball’s Jazzmen.
Bass guitarist Howard Bradley has played in Rock bands
Drummer Jamie Hoyle, professional teacher, and timpanist.
Keyboard player and saxophonist Geoff Keating, teacher, lecturer, arranger & composer.
Mary Barclay, singer, and songwriter, has performed rock, blues and original music with her band
all over the country. Inspired by Joni Mitchell and Ella Fitzgerald she formed the jazz trio
“The Fever” in 2017.
