Thursday 28th November 10am – 3pm
Join us for a day of practical conservation to improve the habitat of one of Scotland’s rarest and most threatened butterflies – the Northern Brown Argus. We will be selectively removing gorse scrub to benefit the Common Rock Rose, the sole food plant of the Northern Brown Argus caterpillar.
No Experience needed. Hand tools and personal protective equipment provided. Please wear warm, weather appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear. Please also consider bringing a packed lunch and a hot drink. We will meet opposite Kirkandrews Kirk and walk approximately 1.5 kilometres to the site.
