Kriss Nichol || Wigtown Women’s Walk

Wigtown is a remarkable place and that is reflected in its history and the remarkable women who have come from the town. In 2010 a group of women worked with the local community to unearth and present the stories of these women, devising a history walk, producing two anthologies of poetry and prose to commemorate them, and with the local youth club produced a podcast dramatising the walk.

This walk and talk takes you on a journey into the past, to see the women and their achievements, and to hear the story of how a local community came together to celebrate its rich history. Tea and cake included at the end of the walk.
