The LOKA ladies are very excited about their forthcoming show at the Theatre Royal Dumfries on 19th August 2023. Boy do they have some treats in store for you all (if they do say so themselves). They will also be joined by two of their husbands, Mike and Tom.
They love to sing songs from various eras and genres – from Olde Time medleys to pop. They also write and perform their own songs!
They can’t wait to perform with their friends and special guests, Nithville (they play guitar and fiddle to songs influenced by folk and Bluegrass) and The Littles (with guitar and ukulele, they cover songs of Americana origin).
With LOKA, these duos will be joined on stage with former Nae Banter guitar maestro, Colin Taylor. Mike and Colin who both played with Nae Banter will be playing a special tribute to their much-missed band colleague and friend, James Hannay.
They will be raising funds the British Heart Foundation in memory of Jimmy on the night.
With more than a few surprises, this will be a wonderful evening of songs, old and new to make you sing, smile and, at the very least, you were be tapping your toes.
