Pick up a bargain at the Mass Garage Sale in Moffat on Sunday 23rd July, 10am to 3pm.
Start at Grieve’s Newsagent, on the High Street, DG10 9HF. Here you can buy your map showing all the locations for just £1. Garage sale locations will have balloons so you can spot them easily.
The Mass Garage Sale is a fun way to explore Moffat, a traditional Spa town with many independent cafes, shops and pubs. There are well sign-posted walks along the River Annan and up the Gallow Hill. Station Park has a fantastic play park for children including a water play area and a putting green for all ages. Moffat is a famously dog-friendly town, look for the welcome signs on many businesses.
Moffat residents: If you would like to turn your clutter into cash, register your Garage Sale at @17 Reasons, Well Street, for £5. If you don’t have a suitable place to put your sale table, book a space in the Proudfoot Indoor Sports & Social Club car park (Mansfield Place, DG10 9DS). This can also be done at 17 Reasons – open 10am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 5pm on Saturdays.
The deadline for registering your sale is 4pm on Friday 21st July.
Funds raised by the sale are used by Moffat Promotions Group to organise events including Picnic in the Park. This is a free community event on 13th August, midday to 11pm. There will be entertainment for children, stalls by local community groups, live music and a film in the evening. Bring along your own picnic or buy food and drinks at the event.
