ONE LIFE is based on the true story of British humanitarian Nicholas Winton. Anthony Hopkins plays the 79-year old Winton reminiscing on his past. Johnny Flynn is the 29-year old Winton trying to help groups of mostly Jewish children in German occupied Czechoslovakia to hide and flee in 1938-39. Jewish families are living in horrific conditions, trying desperately to escape the advancing Nazis.
