Moniaive Folk Festival

A weekend of music and family events for all ages taking place from Friday 10th May until Sunday 12th May. Music includes sets from Yoko Pwno, Samba Sene & Diwan, The Brizz, Airdan, Fidra, Victoria Hume, The Tatties Ankles, Hannah Fisher, Sorren MacLean & Mairi Sutherland, plus many more acts throughout the day. Sessions on all weekend in both pubs plus an open stage in The George cafe. Family events include Aethaerial Arts, Spinning Jenny circus skills, Raku pottery workshop, Moving Images cinema caravan and a Sunday ceilidh with music from The Roving Pedlars. All of this, plus the annual parade through the village (this year’s theme is ‘Dragons’). Camping available for tents and campervans. No tickets on sale; instead we continue to operate on a suggested donations basis – more information can be found on our website. Support this year comes from Five Kingdoms Brewery in Isle of Whithorn and Sulwath Brewery in Castle Douglas. We look forward to seeing you over the weekend!
