Moniaive Folk Festival

A small family-friendly festival taking place in Moniaive. This year’s musical acts include Ape House, Junkman’s Choir, Mairi Sutherland, Sarah-Jane Scouten & Robbie Caswell-Jones, Lauren Collier, Brogeal, Jemima Thewes & Tim Lane, Muckle Spree, The Roving Pedlars ceilidh band and JenMac. Family events run Saturday and Sunday and include Raku pottery, Moving Images mobile cinema, Spinning Jenny circus skills and Clydebuilt Puppet Theatre. This year also sees the return of the popular parade for which there will be a making workshop on the Saturday. This year’s theme is ‘Parade of Crowns’. Fringe events include spoken word events and talks, craft fair and a clothes swap event. Sessions run all weekend in the pubs and cafe.
