π£ π£ NSDAA OPEN CHARITY FLY MATCH 2023 π£ π£
Plans are well underway, excitement is building and the time has now come to announce our annual charity fly match 2023!
This season, we are continuing to support a long standing beneficiary Macmillan Cancer Support – a vital service in and around our area of whom we are eternally grateful.
The second charity we are supporting this season is Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance – SCAA – an absolutely first class and vital service to a rural community like ours who rely solely on community donation and support – a charity we are extremely excited to be working with who could assist anyone of us at anytime!
The event is fly fishing only and will take place on Sunday the 27th of August 2023 at Loch Ochiltree between 10am and 5pm.
Registration time – 0900-0945 within the boathouse.
Β£20 entry fee on the day, with excellent prizes up for grabs – 1st prize being a Β£200 voucher for John Norris in Penrith – many more prizes to follow.
This event includes bonus cash prizes for catching tagged fish and our ever popular raffle.
Following the massive success last season, we will have the return of our charity auction – some of the prizes that have been generously donated are of the highest quality and promises to bring another huge success – with support already in place from R.W. Fly Designs, Harelaw Trout Fishery and Coffee Shop and Frandy Fishery to name but a few!
Bids can be placed online prior to the event- further information will follow!
No requirement to prebook, just turn up and fish.
Now with any charity event comes the plea β¦β¦. we are looking for any person/businesses who would like to support the event by way of donation of prizes/services for the match or auction, raffle prizes, monetary donation or sponsoring of a tagged fish.
If you are interested in doing so, please contact the page via messenger or speak directly to any committee member – all support is gratefully received.
