Orienteering is an exciting outdoor sport. It’s a race with set points but no set route between them! Walk, jog or run it’s up to you. The fastest round in the correct order wins.
This event is suitable for complete beginners and experienced navigators alike and will be held in in the grounds of the Crichton. There will be friendly club coaches available to help get people started. There will be been two courses on offer, Long 4km and Short 2km (distances are for guidance purposes and may vary slightly from week to week.)

Paper maps will also be available but the timing and recording of where you have been will be done by your phone..
Starts will run from 18.00 to 19.00. If you are new to the sport please turn up at 18.00 so we can explain what to do.
The start and finish will be in the car park next to the Easterbrook Hall in the Crichton grounds
ENTRIES ARE NOW OPEN. Cost. It is only £5 for adults and £3 for juniors. Students in full time education go FREE.
Please note that all courses will cross roads. While traffic within the Crichton grounds is light juniors under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Adults accompanying a junior go free.
