Elizabeth Tindal will be sharing knowledge and skills around accessing the Wigtown Saltmarsh. This event is for local people, visitors aged 8-80 years interested in learning more about nature and gaining skills.
Join freelance ranger, Elizabeth Tindal, at Wigtown Bay saltmarsh for a training workshop on how to “read” saltmarsh and access this fascinating and for ever changing environment safely.
The workshop will cover broad skills from understanding tide times, the high and low tides, to wildlife tracking on saltmarsh. Elizabeth is a highly experienced ranger with an in depth knowledge of Wigtown Bay and all the life that lives out on the Saltmarsh. Part of a ranger’s skills is accessing environments is “reading nature”, understanding the impact of changing weather conditions and tides in order to safely and respectfully access this quite magical natural environment which is full of life.
Please wear waterproof clothes and shoes as the terrain is undulating in places.
