Discover events in Dumfries & Galloway – South West Scotland
Take a walk with us along the Nith to discover some of the town’s stories connected to the river from medieval times to the 20th century. We’ll see historic buildings and some of the local wildlife, and explore stories of those whose lives were affected by the River Nith.
The walk will start outside the Old Bridge House on Devorgilla Bridge and end at Kirkpatrick Macmillan Bridge at the end of Dock Park. We’ll be calling in briefly at the Robert Burns Centre. The walk is mostly flat and will last around 90 minutes. Please come dressed for the weather. There’s no charge for this walk and no need to book, just turn up for a 10.30am start.
