The aim of SASO is to bring together people with a wide range of experience in the criminal justice system so that by listening, talking and sharing experience, a better understanding of our common problems will develop.
The presentation will consider the development in the law and practice relating to the approaches to domestic abuse since the coming into force of the Domestic Abuse (Scotland) Act 2018 on 1st April 2019. This will be from the perspective of the defence agent.
