Sea Battle Anniversary

Explore the story of the Battle of Flamborough Head through displays and activities around the museum. The battle took place on 23rd September 1779 and was the most famous victory of John Paul Jones. See a model of the naval hero’s warship, ‘Bonhomme Richard’, step inside recreation of the captain’s cabin and discover the events of that fateful night.

There will also be a special themed battle trail around the museum and activities for children.
