Join us at Stranraer’s Sandcastle Competition from 3 pm – 5 pm at Agnew Park Beach, on Saturday the 28th of September! 🏖️ 🏰 🐚
During the FREE sandcastle competition event, those taking part will be provided their own Stranraer Oyster Sandcastle Bucket to use and take home for future days down by the water.
The competition is open to all ages, get involved and take part in co-designing future structures of the coast. Be inspired by the shapes of their local ecology, and build sand sculptures alongside artist-in-residence Maya Rose Edwards.
Together, we will transform the shape of the coast into a man-made community oyster bed for the afternoon. The most inventive structure will receive a prize for their efforts, and all participants will be allowed to take home their Stranraer Oyster Sandcastle Bucket provided on the day.
Hot drinks will be provided. Please dress appropriately for the weather, all children to be accompanied by an adult.
