Discover events in Dumfries & Galloway – South West Scotland
A fun day for the family at Mersehead, with lots of activities for everyone.
Get busy in the Sulwath Garden, taking part in various self-led and guided activities, including craft making, bug-hunting, pond-dipping, short activity trail, and nest-box making. Discover nature, use your senses to explore or get creative. There’s even a competition you can enter for chance to win a small prize!
You can also play in the ‘Badgers Corner’ on the swings or slide, scurry through tunnels in the badger sett or be creative in the sandpit and mud kitchen!
If staying for the day, please bring along a picnic (we’ll provide the tables and space, and ice cream for sale in visitor centre too!).
This is a fun day for all the family, discovering and getting outdoors.
There is a charge of £5 per child (extra charge for taking home nest-boxes that are made, playing the Tombola activity and extra entries in competition). Tickets can be purchased online or on the day at reserve (cash only).
Non-RSPB members note: no car park charges apply if attending this event!
