Summer Family Fun Day at Mersehead

A day of FAMILY FUN here at Mersehead, with various activities for children (and a few adults too). This is a fun day for all the family, discovering and getting outdoors.
Get busy in the ‘Badgers Corner’ on the swings or slide, scurry through tunnels in the badger sett or be creative in the sandpit and mud kitchen!
See what’s on the reserve and take part in various self-led and guided activities, including nest-box making, bug hunting, a sensory trail, mud pie making, and story-telling session(s). You can have a go at our ‘Cockles in the Jar Competition’ too, with a special prize for the nearest guess!
If staying for the day, please bring along a picnic (we’ll provide the tables and space) Hot drinks, snacks and ice cream will be available for sale down at the visitor centre.
This event is open to all families and is free, though there will be small charges (cash only) for some of the activities.
Just for this day, there will be NO CAR-PARKING CHARGES for non-RSPB members but donations will help to save nature.
