Did you know that the title of Tally’s Blood, showing at Theatre Royal Dumfries refers to ice cream? As well being an old slang term for Italian heritage, the ‘blood’ was also the raspberry sauce frequently enjoyed on top of a scoop or two at many Italian cafés and ice-cream parlours!
Opening in the 1930s and following the lives of an Italian immigrant family in Scotland, you can book now for this tale of heart and humour which ‘still has all the modern-day relevance of a 99 ice-cream’ (The Herald).
Tally’s Blood is a co-production between The Gaiety, Perth Theatre, and Cumbernauld Theatre with support from The Hugh Fraser Foundation.
