Your tutor Helen Walsh will introduce free motion embroidery and you will learn how to use your sewing machine as a creative drawing tool and explore how to use different fabrics to create beautiful textile portraits of birds and animals ….other subject matter also welcome. We’ll explore how to transfer a design onto cloth, how to add colour and texture with applique and how to work free motion embroidery to bring our designs to life! Templates are provided or you can bring your own image to work from. This session is suitable for beginners or those with some experience looking to expand their skills.

The course is suitable for beginners, but more experienced stitchers will also be able to pick up lots of hints and tips along the way.
