Join us for another fantastic Thrive evening session!
This evening workshop will play with writing about humans and/as nature. Our approach will propose the ordinary as magical and the personal as significant. As the sun goes down, our writing will mess around on the edge between fiction and non-fiction, where the real meets the speculative, and explore topics in this borderland such as dreams, deep time, and the nonhuman. This workshop is open to everyone. Participants are asked to bring a notebook, pen, and appropriate shoes and attire for sitting and/or walking in the Shambellie grounds.
We’re so pleased to run these sessions, thanks to funding from the Holywood Trust, aimed at young creative people in Dumfries and Galloway (ages 18+). Come along for some chat, a cuppa and some creative company. In this session, we’re keeping things fairly simple (but very fun) with a return to our Bob Ross painting session. We’ll have Bob up on the big screen so we can all follow along and have a fun evening of painting, chatting
While these sessions are primarily targeted at young people (roughly 18 – 30) because of our funding, we welcome anyone who is keen to come along!
