Tim Kliphuis Trio Rhapsody in Blue

In a much-awaited return to Kirkcudbright the world renowned Tim Kliphuis Trio present a brand-new, virtuosic version of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue that swings, soars and dazzles effortlessly. With their trademark exuberance, the trio fulfil the roles of orchestra and soloist with the free-flowing improvisational energy that Gershwin’s timeless melodies demand.
Alongside the Rhapsody the Trio will perform their arrangement of Hoedown for the Common Man, celebrating legendary American composer Aaron Copland.
As if this wasn’t enough, the Trio plan to play some other Gershwin gems: It Ain’t Necessarily So, I Got Rhythm and They Can’t Take That Away from Me in a stunning solo guitar version.
