Taking place at the historic Motte and Bailey site near the river Annan, there will be a medieval theme throughout the afternoon of Sunday 22nd June. Annan Museum will be highlighting ‘Myths and Legends’ and there will be a display of traditional crafts including foraging and storytelling. Visitors will be encouraged to find the ‘traitor/s’, looking for clues when visiting the various stalls. There is the opportunity to join the Medieval Knight & Squire School and take part in Junior Jousting.

Traitors at Annan Castle is not only an opportunity for local people of all ages to connect with their vital heritage brought to life from the pages of Scotland’s history books, but for visitors from further afield to step back in time, into an immersive and vibrant living history experience, where they can interact with and learn about many aspects of the rich cultural and social heritage of this Solway town’s fascinating medieval era and how it still affects Scotland today.
