Upland made offers visitors a unique shopping experience of original, handmade art and craft created by around 40 professional artists and makers from across Dumfries & Galloway.
Expect everything from ceramics, textiles and jewellery to prints, paintings and finely crafted furniture.
It’s the perfect place to find one-of-a-kind gifts or a special piece for your home – and to meet the makers and hear the stories behind their work.
Upland at 10 – Celebrating a Decade of Creativity
This year, Upland celebrates its tenth anniversary. To mark the occasion, we’re creating Upland Connect – a relaxed, drop-in creative space running alongside the craft fair.
Visitors can:
● Join in: Youth & Engagement workshops and special maker-led sessions.
● Listen in: Artist talks exploring creativity and inspiration.
● Watch: A selection of short films from Upland’s projects, including Modern Makers 2025, following the creation of beautifully rug-tufted stools.
Featured workshop:
Stitching with Louisa Ruthven – a two-hour meditative textile session inspired by Kantha embroidery and darning.
