Writer Stephen Rutt will lead this session which will help you develop a sense of place in your writing. From finding the telling detail, to extended lyrical descriptions, you will be shown ways to really capture the essence of the location in your writing. Using examples from his own work and other authors, you will see what works and what doesn’t and how that can inform your own writing. This course is tailored towards prose non-fiction, but fiction writers and poets are welcome too.
This course is for improvers and those with some experience.
