Recruiting trustees

As part of good governance, third sector organisations usually need to recruit new trustees on a regular basis. This session looks at why having a good recruitment process with clear role descriptions in place can help with the recruitment of new trustees.

Understanding why people might like to volunteer as a trustee can help organisations to recruit the right people for their board, along with the use of skills audits, which can help identify knowledge gaps amongst existing board members. We will also look at different methods of recruitment and consider how to overcome reasons people may give to not becoming a trustee.

This session is aimed at anyone who recruits trustees for third sector organisations including Trustees, Office Bearers, volunteer managers and third sector staff.
